MCRide Transportation Program


McHenry County Department of Transportation, Grafton Township, and the Village of Huntley are pleased to offer the MCRide(Dial-A-Ride) program to all Huntley residents, and Grafton Seniors and People with Disabilities, for their transportation needs. MCRide(Dial- A- Ride) is a curb to curb, demand-response public transit service available to McHenry County, and township residents traveling within and between partner communities. Rider's call the Pace Call Center, 800-451-4599, to schedule a trip one day before they need a ride, or up to seven days in advance for seniors and individuals with disabilities. 

Monday- Friday   6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Saturday              9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Sunday                 No Service

The MCRide(Dial-A-Ride) transportation program has a distance-based fare structure. General Public base fares are $2.50 each way within 5 miles, and $0.25 for each additional mile traveled. Seniors 60 and over, and People with Disabilities the Base Fare is $1.25 for the first 5 miles, and each additional mile will cost $0.25.

A round trip General Public fare within the 5 mile limit will be $5.00. 6 miles or more add $.25 per additional mile each way.

A round trip fare for Seniors or Persons with Disabilities within 5 miles will be $2.50. 6 or more miles add $.25 per additional mile each way.
